  • Résumé :

The objective of this research is to explore the different roles, functions, ways, objects and agendas assumed by modeling, scientific and expert communities, in the face of the problem of reducing or eliminating pesticide use in European agriculture. The aim is to determine how modeling exercises mobilize and are mobilized within the context of the reduction policies that are taking place on the continent. It is proposed to characterize the type of approach they apply, the type of analysis they develop, and the type of policy decisions they are linked to. To this end, this paper attempts to develop a classification of models and modeling exercises based on the way in which they approach and position themselves in relation to the political problem of pesticide use reduction.
